Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science communication and a proven track record in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role will play a key part in expanding our reach and impact within the academic and healthcare communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with potential partners, including academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Sales and Account Support: Drive sales of JMIR Publications' products and services, including unlimited flat-fee open access publishing, Plan P partnerships, and media sponsorships and marketing programs.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, partnership activity, competitive and market trends.
- Quote and Invoice Preparation: Prepare partnership data, quotes, and invoices for clients, working closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor the competitive landscape and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor journals and publishers.
- Lead Generation: Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads and nurture prospects, ensuring a smooth transition from lead to customer.
- Community Engagement: Identify and develop relationships with community partners to expand JMIR Publications' reach and influence.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings with potential and existing partners, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a sales or account management role, preferably in the publishing or academic sector.
Technical Skills
- Experience with HubSpot CRM or a similar CRM platform.
Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer focused with the ability to listen and respond to the market
- Action oriented and have the ability to work through problems independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage and measure activities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
